Steel Brigade was made using parts from 3 different figures - The head from Pursuit of Cobra Beachhead, the body from Pursuit of Cobra wave 3 Snake Eyes and the arms and legs from Pursuit of Cobra Shock Trooper. Steel Brigade was released as part of the fifth wave of Pursuit of Cobra figures.

Steel Brigade came with a black machine gun with black bi-pod, two black rifles, a two-piece tan and black rocket launcher, four black rockets, a green, silver, and black helmet, a light blue collar, a green and black tactical vest, a black bandolier, a green and black backpack, a tan backpack and a black display stand.

G.I.Joe is the code name for a special operations unit of highly trained men and women. Their purpose is to defend the world against COBRA, a ruthless organization with criminal tentacles in every nation on earth.
